How long does a tan last Reddit

Friendly reminder to use sunscreen, 8 months later and I still have a horrendous tan-line. from SkincareAddiction

on june 19th this year i went to the beach and got a pretty bad sunburn. not severe enough to need medical attention but it sucked for a few days (AND my face became swollen??)

the problem is that it still hasnt faded completely. this hasnt happened to me before; whenever i got tan in the past it faded pretty quickly

additionally i did get a little more burnt in august, definitely not as bad as june tho. and the main areas affected were my face and shoulders (which have faded)

BASICALLY is this chill ??? should i just wait it out a few more months

I didn’t use sun protection until i turned 20 and i am 21 now. My tan around my arms, neck, face and feet remain the same (tbh my arms showed a little bit improvement but). Can you give me a time lapse when to start fade my tan? (Especially my face cause it looks moooore darker than the whole body). I just want to look even,

Hey i vacationed in some remote islands for like 10 days. I spent like 10+ hours per day on the beach enjoying swimming in clear waters.

However, now that ive got back, im like 4shades darker.. (i never used any sunscreen. I guess i shouldve..) This is the first time ive got sun tan.

My coworkers are saying i should get some facials done, but i feel like im a guy,i dont really need to do that stuff. They say if i dont get facials done, my suntan will be permanent~

Are suntans permanent if left untreated, or do they go away in like 3-4months?

I’m not planning on getting into tanning beds since those are very bad for your skin. Over the summer I’m planning to do spray tans regularly instead

Just this once though I’m considering doing a tanning bed just to get a light, subtle color for when I go back to college from spring break. the reason being a spray tan after it fades it begins to look splotchy so it’s something you have to actively maintain

Curious how long a tan from a tanning bed lasts. When I get natural tans from the sun, it seems to last pretty long so I’m wondering if this will be a similar result?

I'm M17, East Asian so fairly brownish-yellowish lol, but I get super tan in the summer like, dark brown.

How long do these full summer tans last? Currently I have tinea versicolor that I've been treating and I want my tan to go away so that my body doesn't have these light spots anymore.

And how can I speed up the process of losing a tan? Other than like sunscreen and long sleeved shirts.

I’m thinking about using Melanoboost daily when I go out of the house to help give me some color. I’m pretty pale. How often would I need sun exposure with the peptide product on to keep a slightly tanned look?
