• VASTLY improved video autofocus. You have tap-to-track and EyeAF in video autofocus now as well. The a7 III video AF was just OK; you can't track subjects, no EyeAF, slower and less accurate, etc.
• You have the ability to record using the h265 / HEVC video codec which results in smaller file sizes or All-Intra for maximum quality. The a7 III just does the dated h264 codec.

• You get the s-cinetone profile which delivers awesome color right out of the camera
• Video and still settings are completely separate; changes you make to stills do not affect video and vice versa
• Quick switch to change from stills to video as opposed to finding the right PASM dial position. This also means you don't need to go into the menus to change exposure mode in video; you can just use the PASM dial. This was a lifesaver for me
• You get a better preamp for audio
• You get a full-sized HDMI port
• You get a fully articulated screen
• You get a higher resolution EVF
• You do not have a recording limit (a7 III is 30 min limit)
• You have the option of taking a slight crop and using active stabilization (Sony's term for digital stabilization) to help the IBIS or in-lens stabilization work
• 7K -> 4k downsampled footage is insanely sharp and detailed

A7III is decent, A7IV is greater. Being greater will definitely cost more. Does it justify USD 1000 more? Well, if you can earn USD 1000 easier with the functions under A7IV for your current works, then I would say that USD1000 extra is well spent. Otherwise, you better stick with A7III then.
