PayPal is the first payment method we use to pay our winning Creatives. When you are requesting a payout, you are asked to provide your PayPal email_id Squadhelp will then transfer your winnings to that PayPal account.

In order to protect the integrity of our platform, we require a confirmation that your PayPal account status is 'Verified'. To verify your PayPal account you must log in, and confirm that your account status is 'Verified'.

PayPal follows a specific process to verify accounts by asking for documentation such as bank accounts, or credit card statements. If your account is not verified, you will see it as an "Unverified" status. You can easily change your status to "Verified" by following these steps:

Step 1: Log into your PayPal account. In order to verify your PayPal account in the US, you will need to enter a valid bank account. Sign in to your account, if you are not already 'verified', click the 'Get Verified Link' on the top left of the page.

Step 3: Select whether you would like to verify your account by connecting your bank account or a credit/debit card to PayPal.

Once you have you have completed these steps you are Verified. If your account has already been 'Verified', your account status is located below your name.

What does that mean? 

This message just means that you need to confirm the email address registered to your PayPal account. When you added that email address to your PayPal account, PayPal sent you a confirmation email – simply find that email and click the link to confirm.

Note: Keep in mind that “Confirming” your email address is different than “Verifying” your PayPal account. 

  • Verifying your PayPal account involves waiting for bank deposits
  • Confirming your email address involves clicking a link in an email

You’ll need to follow these instructions:

When you first added that email address to your PayPal account, PayPal sent you a confirmation email – just find that email and click the link in it to confirm your email address. 

If you can’t find PayPal’s confirmation email, don’t worry – you can resend it. Here’s how:To confirm your email address, all you need to do is

  1. Log in to your PayPal account
  2. Go to your My Account page
  3. Click on the Settings button in the top right corner of the page (the gear icon)
  4. Find the Email Address section in the column on the right
  5. Find the “Unconfirmed” email address
  6. Click the Edit button
  7. Click the Confirm this email address button
  8. Check your personal email inbox for the verification link

Why do I need to Confirm my email in my PayPal account?

If you don’t Confirm your email address in your PayPal account, then your PayPal account will not be able to accept any incoming money – every single person who tries to donate to your campaign will receive an error message and you will not be able to receive any donations to your campaign.

All error messages and warnings will go away if the PayPal account is ready to go, but you may be prompted to Connect Now. While this is an optional feature, it will help smooth over the donor experience for your supporters by reducing friction in the checkout flow.

If you’ve made sure that your email address is spelled correctly in your campaign and you’ve also made sure the same email address is a Confirmed email address on your PayPal account, there may be some technical issue affecting PayPal’s system which is preventing it from communicating that to our system.
